Sewing Room Chunky ATC

Ahhh, another day, another swap. This time it's another chunky ATC and my those things are addictive. This one is for Chrissie, the swap host, so no pressure then. She wanted a sewing room themed chunky so I thought I'd take her literally and giver her a mini sewing room. And here it is.

One side - probably the back. I stamped the button image on the top bit but you can't really see what it is until you turn it round.

This is the other side - I guess that makes it the front (der!) and this is Chrissie's miniature sewing room.

The table and chair were a yucky off green colour until I repainted it and stamped the phrase on the top. It has a miniature sewing machine, button box, box of threads, opening scissors and knitting bag.

The drawers open to reveal a tape measure and more threads.

The sewing machine also slides off its base to reveal more sewing related bits and bobs.

There is also another sewing machine in the package which is a fridge magnet.

Beware Chrisie - the sewing machine, bag and scissors are NOT stuck down (deliberately so you can arrange them as you like) and the contents of the drawers are also loose, tiny and will fall out if you open it upside down.

A huge thanks to Karen for getting some of the bits sent over to me and to Chrissie for hosting another great swap. I hope you like it Chrissie.

Have a good one!

Alice ATCs - Flip Books

Bit photo heavy this post - sorry about that but it took this many pictures to show all sides of this one Alice ATC. This is the second one I did for the swap and I made an ATC sized flip book using the very wonderful Octopode Alice images. I used Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Queen and the White Rabbit and, once I'd got the positioning right, made it into a mini book and cut each page in half. It's like those kids books with pictures of people where you can flip over half the page and mix up the top and bottom. It makes more sense when you look at the pictures.

Alice head with the various bodies, and some of the Mad Hatter too.

The rest of the Mad Hatter and the White rabbit. I think Alice's dress quite suits him (and indeed everyone!).

The Queen and the covers.

The light was poor when I took the pictures but you get the idea. Can't wait to see what I get back.

I'm also entering this in the lovely Altered Alice Challenge Blog as I think it's red, white and blue enough.

Have a good day.

Alice Wonderland ATCs - dress up paper dolls

Yet another swap, and yet more Alice ATCs. I'm doing two sets so here's the first.

I used Alice and White Rabbit paper dolls downloaded from the wonderful blog vintagefeedsacks and spent too many hours cutting around them plus their little outfits. Mounted onto foam squares so they stand proud of the page, you can then take their clothes and dress them however you want.  The spare clothes are stored behind the heart clothes peg and I made the base like a fold out card to try and keep them protected. Classic kids toy for a classic kids story.

I'm entering this at the fab Altered Alice Challenge Blog as the theme is red, white and blue.

Have a good one!
